Inspired by the awesome students at Duke University, The National Council of Women of New Zealand (NCWNZ) has launched its own NZ-based version of the ‘Who Needs Feminism?’ campaign.
We want to challenge misconceptions about feminism... and show that it is important to ALL of us today.
We’d love you to get involved and tell us why you need feminism.
• Write your message
• Take a photo
• Share it with us - you can use our Facebook or Twitter (links below) or email us (ncwnz@ncwnz.org.nz) and we will post it for you!
We want to inspire dialogue and we want to you to share the many ways in which feminism is important to you – but we want to encourage respectful discussion.
We are keen to receive submissions that are radical or provocative but we reserve the right to decline submissions if we deem them to be hateful or otherwise inappropriate.
Please make sure that your submission:
• Includes at least one person holding a sign that says “I need feminism because....”
• Is clear and easy to read
• Includes any credits / captions that you would like to add
